(WEEI) -- A video of former New England Patriots tight-end Rob Gronkowski made the rounds yesterday showing the recent retiree dancing with a small dog. The most notably part of the video? The four-time All-Pro doesn't look like he's in football shape, despite a feeling from some that the 30-year-old's NFL career may not be over just yet.
AROUND THE WEB:
And people on social media noticed he has lost quite a bit of muscle mass.
The weight loss might suggest the retired tight end is not thinking about returning to football any time soon.
-- Gronkowski’s friend Mojo Rawley also suggested recently the former Patriot will likely stay retired.
Rawley, a WWE star, said he and Gronkowski have spoken about a potential future in wrestling.
“We have talked about it extensively,” Rawley said. “Wrestling is something that he both loves watching, and that little bit of taste he had in the ring with me at WrestleMania a couple years ago with me got him all fired up. So, he’s ready to do something at some point.”
Gronkowski appeared at WrestleMania in 2017 to help Rawley beat Jinder Mahal and win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy.
But Rawley thinks Gronkowski is happy right now without the NFL or the WWE.
“He just wrapped up a decade-long career breaking records. For every record he had he probably had as many injuries or surgeries putting his body on the line for the team and the fans,” Rawley said. “Right now he’s doing nothing. He’s going to lay low and stay off the television a little bit and heal up. He’ll reflect and make that next move and make that decision carefully.
