This retiring knight had one more gift for the people of his kingdom...

Andrew Thomas has been working at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst, New Jersey for the last 12 years.

Now, the 34-year-old Head Knight is sadly bidding his castle farewell, but in true knight fashion, he cut off his long locks to donate to the non-profit Wigs for Kids.

The popular family dinner chain shared Andrew's transformation on Instagram writing, "Huzzah! The Queen would like to bestow Her highest honor on her Head Knight, who after 12 years of service is retiring. In true Knight fashion, he cut off his long locks and is donating them to Wigs for Kids. Thank you to Lady Angela at Salon A in Lyndhurst for the haircut! Thank you for 12 wonderful years and huzzah to new beginnings!"
