It’s come to this for the struggling Dallas Cowboys: blistering fan mail from a local second grader.
Seven-year-old Rylan Wood of Mansfield, Texas, is so fed up with the play of his favorite team, which has a lackluster 3-5 record this season, he decided to send a handwritten letter to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Rylan didn’t hold back, writing: “You have made my mom very mad because WE SUCK!”
Rylan notes how every Sunday finds his mother, Kayla Jimenez, yelling at the TV, outraged at what she considers an overly predictable offense.
Kayla says Rylan is hoping to meet with Jones so everyone can talk -- and maybe come up with some new plays.
Even if he did write, “The cheerleaders are better than the team this year,” Rylan ended the letter by saying he didn’t want it to hurt Jones’ feelings. He’s just a very passionate young fan.
