Who says you can’t eat ice cream during a polar vortex? An ice cream shop in Wisconsin actually encourages it.

It’s been Mullen's Dairy Bar tradition for the past 87 years to give away free single scoop ice cream cones when it goes below minus 20 degrees.

On one recent extremely cold weekend, they apparently gave out more thousand free frozen treats.

The original owners were rumored to have made customers eat the free scoops outside. But these days everyone is more than welcome to indulge in the ice cream indoors.
