Stan Lee has passed away. But his iconic comic book creations will live on.
Some rare collectibles from Lee’s legendary career at Marvel Comics are available at auction on Nov. 16 and 17, as part of the “Icons & Idols: Hollywood” event from Julien’s Auctions.
The collection of nearly 20 items, announced prior to Lee’s death Sunday at the age of 95, highlights some of his immortal superhero inventions.
Lee’s most famous Marvel character, Spider-Man, made his comic book debut in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962. Julien’s Auctions is expecting an original copy signed by Lee to fetch up to $50,000.
There’s also a signed copy of The Amazing Spider-Man #1.
Lee is also responsible for characters such as Black Panther, the X-Men -- featured in comic books that are among the memorabilia at auction -- and many more.
