Wheelchair Bound Boy Gets a Special School Bus Costume for Halloween

By , Radio.com

Five-year-old Blake Mompher, who has spina bifida, is dressing as one of his favorite things for Halloween - a school bus!

His 65-year-old grandfather crafted the incredible costume to fit over the Ohio boy’s wheelchair, which says "Blake County Schools" around the sides.

Blake’s mom tells Radio.com the costume took about three days to make, but it was worth it because Blake likes the buses so much, in part because he loves the color yellow, and he sees his sisters take the bus to school every day.

Next year the plan is to do the same as he begins kindergarten. For now, Blake is looking forward to taking his new wheels out trick-or-treating and filling the costume up with lots of candy!
