The talented musician played for the first time in front of his classmates during a pep assembly in the school's gymnasium…and he completed wowed everyone in attendance.

"I was a little nervous, but I always felt excited," Ridge told local news outlet ABC15. "Autism can't hold me back because I'm a real rock star."

His teacher, Sean Hagerty, recorded the performance and shared it on Facebook where he is receiving tons of praise, likes, and words of encouragement for his talent and bravery after appearing in front of hundreds of peers.

Music has helped Ridge open up and connect with others, and he hopes to play at future events at his school.
