Norfolk knows how to throw a party for New Year’s Eve. Actually, it knows how to throw a lot of parties. If you haven’t already made your plans get tickets for one of these New Year’s events and party all night long.
It’s like Norfolk’s version of New Year’s Eve in Time’s Square except they don’t make you stand out in the cold without a bathroom for six hours. The party starts at 9 pm, but if you buy a VIP ticket you can get started at 8 pm.

The party in Virginia Beach is the only one in Hampton Roads that comes with a midnight ball drop, but there’s a lot more to do starting at 5:30 pm with DJs, dancing and roving performers on the Town Center Plaza including jugglers, stilt walkers, and fire throwers. Then at 9 pm, the main stage opens up with a concert from Switchfoot. And finally, the Champagne will flow as the ball drops at midnight.
