The New York Police Department made a little boy’s big dream of meeting members of New York City's finest come true.

It was high fives all around when the cops from the 19th precinct introduced themselves to Jamison at a local Ronald McDonald House.

They updated his police gear, with a new shirt, hat, and shield and even brightened up his night by showing him the inside of a police cruiser.

When Jamison is feeling better, the officers have invited him to visit the precinct!

In a post on Facebook, Ronald McDonald House New York praised the officers for their kindness saying, "We cannot thank these #HeroesoftheHouse enough for always going above and beyond for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House New York."

It looks like meeting your heroes can sometimes be the best medicine.
