It's been quite a year so far for Country singer Carly Pearce.

Carly's mother, Jackie, has Stage 4 COPD (Chronic Pulmonary Lung Disease), and Carly has previously shared her concern over keeping her healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fortunately, Carly's mom has done everything she's supposed to do and has avoided catching the virus. “She’s doing great," reports Carly in a statement from her label. "She really quarantined hard and never got it. I’m so grateful for that, and we took it really seriously."

While Carly certainly misses being able to perform live, a silver lining to not being able to tour, was she was able to spend additional time caring for her mother.

"You know I don’t talk about her health a lot, but when I was on tour last year with Jason Aldean, she couldn’t come to a lot of shows anymore with her health," she continues. "And it was a hard thing for me, because I felt like she had helped get me there and so just to be able to kind of focus and to just be able to have that time was so awesome.”

One can only imagine that being able to be with family has also helped her deal with her recent divorce from fellow Country singer Michael Ray.
