When it comes to conversations with San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich regarding politics or social issues, there is very little room for interpretation.
Popovich is direct and unwavering in his views, which was put on display once again in an interview with the New York Times, going after the NFL and some of its owners.
For Patriots fans the part that jumps out, of course, is Popovich's issues with those owners -- such as Pats owner Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones of the Cowboys -- who each donated to President Donald Trump's Inaugural Committee.
"It’s just hypocritical," Popovich said. "It’s incongruent. It doesn’t make sense. People aren’t blind. Do you go to your staff and your players and talk about injustices and democracy and how to protest? I don’t get it. I think they put themselves in a position that’s untenable."
