Red Sox Honor Rick Porcello in his Return to Fenway Park

He won an American League Cy Young Award and a World Series championship during his five seasons in Boston. There were 167 games pitched and 74 wins.

Rick Porcello certainly left his mark with the Red Sox.

So it was no surprise -- fans or no fans -- that the pitcher received a tribute from his old team upon returning to Fenway Park with the Mets.

Porcello won't be facing his old team during this stretch of two games at Fenway and two more at Citi Field, having pitched Sunday night. The righty's debut with the Mets didn't go well, giving up seven runs in just two innings to the Braves.

He signed a one-year, $10 million contract with New York prior to the 2020 season.
