There are no proclamations regarding the dangers of Frosted Flakes or Coca-Cola. And the word "electrolytes" is nowhere to be found.
But make no mistake about it: Much like Tom Brady, Cam Newton has some strong thoughts what kind of nutrition is best for your body.
Newton is a Vegan, and he wants to pass on how much it has changed his life.
"I’ve seen such a remarkable change in the way my body responds to the food that I eat," the quarterback said in an interview with PETA.
"Vegan. Vegan strong," Newton said in October. "That helps a lot. I've been a vegan all year, and I don't think I'm going back. I feel good. I recover well. And that's pretty much what it's all about.
"It's not putting certain things in your body that is going to combat your body trying to recover. You want to put things in your body that is going to expedite that whole process."
United States soccer star Alex Morgan and former Celtics guard Kyrie Irving were honored by PETA last year as the 2019 Most Beautiful Vegan Celebrities. Another Boston-based sports star who shares the lifestyle is Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara.
