Social Media Users Try to Get Terminally Ill Marvel Fan Early Screening of Avengers 4

LOS ANGELES (1010 WINS) -- Reddit users are rallying around a terminally ill Marvel fan. Screenrant reports, the group is asking those involved with Avengers 4 to give the man an early screening of the film.

Fans have been waiting for Avengers: Endgame since seeing Avengers: Infinity War, last year, but one man is afraid he won't get the chance.

A post by Reddit user Alexander Q says he's suffering from a genetic disease -- one that took his sister's life last year. Alexander says he has liver and mouth cancer, and bone marrow failure. He's worried that he won't be around when Infinity War is released.

"I'm not a child or anyone with a particularly tragic story. Just a normal guy. I'm 33, lost my sister three years ago to the same rare genetic disease it turns out I have too. I'll leave behind a devoted girlfriend and an adopted greyhound. I thought I'd make it to April at least but my bone marrow is toast," he wrote.

Redditors using the hashtag #Avengers4Alexander are trying to bring attention to Alexander's situation.

Alexander has since updated his original post and says he's been told that people at Marvel are aware of the situation and looking for a way to help him out.
