Joel Embiid Headed for MRI on Injured Shoulder

Sixers center Joel Embiid left the team's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first quarter on Wednesday night with a left shoulder injury, and after briefly re-appearing on the bench, was ruled out.

The team announced Embiid suffered a sprained shoulder, an injury that will require an MRI.

The All-Star center was clearly in a ton of pain after the collision:

Needless to say, Embiid's status heading forward could decide the Sixers' season as they are already without starting point guard Ben Simmons.

More updates to come as they emerge.
