While there has been positive news on the progress between the Saints and wide receiver Michael Thomas on a new contract, it appears the team Can't Find Mike as players report for the first day of training camp.

Thomas is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is set to make $1,148,041 in 2019 without an extension.  The Saints have reportedly offered him $18-$19 million per year, but Thomas is said to be set on becoming the first NFL receiver to earn $20 million per season. He did not skip organized team activities or mini camp, so a holdout is somewhat of a surprise. For each day the WR misses a camp practice he is subject to a maximum fine of $40k.

Head Coach Sean Payton will speak at 5:15pm, followed by Executive Vice President & General Manager Mickey Loomis at 5:30pm.  You can listen to the opening press conference of Saints training camp live on WWL AM FM and wwl.com.
