Greg Rousseau claimed just about every possible honor last season after he recorded 15.5 sacks for the Canes.  He was supposed to be one of the most dominant forces in college football in 2020, but that all came to an end when he opted out of the season late last week.

If somehow college football does have a season, it seems likely that other top players will follow in his footsteps.

Rousseau did say that this was the toughest decision of his life, but with both of his parents working the frontlines, he said he knew he needed to make this decision.

The Miami defensive end said how much he appreciated the support of Manny Diaz in making his decision. “I love Coach Diaz and I love this team.”

As for what may come next, Rousseau is projected as a top-10 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. His friends are letting him know about it as he said they keep sending him updated mock drafts.
