Korn has been working on their follow up to 2016 album The Serenity of Suffering. Frontman Jonathan Davis revealed he was in the studio laying down vocals back in January, so the album is probably very close to being done.
Now, the nu-metal icons are back to tease that a big announcement is imminent. A nondescript photo of tangled black wires was posted to the Korn social media accounts with the caption “Sign up now. kornofficial.com.”
“Watch It All Fall Down…” their website now reads before urging fans to join their newsletter for more information. Most theorize that their first new music in three years is likely just around the corner, and the first single could be due very soon.
Along with gearing up to release new music, Korn is readying for a massive co-headlining tour with Alive In Chains. The cross-country run spans from July to September, kicking off July 18 in Austin, Texas.
Their upcoming album is the band's third release with Brian "Head" Welch since he returned to the band in 2013. After a 10-year break from recording with them that was largely driven by his desire to become a better father, the ground-breaking guitarist is back and contributing his energy to the next release. In recently-released documentary Loud Krazy Love, Head dove into everything from his departure to his return, and everything in between.
