WWII Veteran Wants 100 Cards from Strangers to Celebrate 100th Birthday

This World War II veteran has one simple request to celebrate his 100th birthday on June 6th.


Issac ‘Ike’ Fabela wants 100 birthday cards from people all across the country to help commemorate his 100 years of life. 


The heartwarming Michigan veteran, who served for two years during WWII from 1944-1946, doesn’t think he deserves the title of hero, but appreciates when people call him it! "He always says that the young men who didn’t make it back are the heroes,” Issac's daughter, Lolie told MSN.

Lolie said everyone in his town of Montrose, MI plans on having various celebrations to honor his incredible life! “It’s amazing, the things he remembers. The stories he can tell -- he’s like a walking history book.”


We bet Ike will be checking his mailbox every hour to read all the special messages from friends all over.
