Gov. Cooper has announced that sports venues can allow up to 7% capacity on-site for LIVE sporting events.

Charlotte Motor Speedway will host one of the largest events in the state this weekend when NASCAR’s Playoffs return for the Bank of America ROVAL 400 weekend.

Fans will note a number of new protocols, including:

-Temperature checks at the gate

-Digital tickets (no paper tickets to limit contact points)

-No coolers (fans can bring clear plastic bags up to 14 inches on the longest side, with snacks, drinks, etc.)

-Cashless souvenir and concessions purchases only

-Socially distanced seating in the grandstands

We’re excited to welcome fans back and look forward to doing so safely. Based on the limited fan allowance, we’re already at capacity for Sunday’s Bank of America ROVAL 400, but tickets remain for Saturday’s racing doubleheader, featuring the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the IMSA sports car debut on the ROVAL. Tickets are just $50 for adults and FREE for kids 13 and under.
