Segment 1: The children of those killed in the line of duty face an average shortfall of about $32,000 when it comes to paying for a college degree. That's where Children of Fallen Patriots (CFP) comes in. CFP team member, and Former SEAL, Chris Petrakos and former CFP scholarship recipient Dee Muniz tell us all about the program that's given $27 million to 1,400 Gold Star students.

Segment 2: The Military Times Service Members of the Year Awards is an annual event that looks to recognize the "unsung heroes" serving on active duty. Military Times Exec. Editor Andrew Tilghman and Marine Corps Times Editor Andrea Scott tell us that the nominations come to a close soon, so now is the time to nominate your favorite Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman or Coastie.

Segment 3: Homes For our Troops (HFOT) has already built 274 customized homes that have been donated to our most severely wounded combat vets, with another 79 currently in progress. As they celebrate their 15th year, HFOT is also celebrating a new partnership with Wounded Warrior Project.  HFOT's Tom Landwermeyer and Wounded Warrior Project's (WWP) Joe Plenzler join us to talk about the organization's amazing work and how a grant from WWP will help more of our combat wounded live their best lives.
