Not gonna lie - I was a bit nervous about interviewing Charles Schwab, founder of the nation's largest publicly traded investment services firm, with around $3.94 trillion in client assets. I had no reason to be nervous. Mr. Schwab was warm, funny and very easy to talk with. Along with being a financial investor, he is also a bestselling author with a new book out called "Invested." In it, he writes about his passion for making Wall Street investing accessible to Main Street.
As you can imagine, wherever he goes, Mr Schwab is frequently asked financial advice:
Watch and listen as Mr. Schwab describes walking into the Bank of America boardroom as the youngest member, and biggest shareholder, and breaking with the CEO.
This Sacramento native with a love of golf and hunting, and passion for philanthropy still has quite a long "to-do" list. It was fun talking about regular "stuff" - first jobs, growing up, having kids and grandkids - with this financial investing icon! It's staggering to think about how many lives he has touched through his company and his giving back. I hope you enjoy getting to know a little bit about the man behind the famous name.
