Lonzo started his radio career in 1998 at 98.1 the Peak, running braves baseball games and producing sports shows on the weekend. In 2000 he began working at WORD as producer and as co-host on The Gamecock Warmup show, which became The Warmup and finally The Scoreboard. Over a span of 16 years he was the voice of football on Word on Saturday nights. When ESPN Upstate started, Lonzo was there at the beginning. He is Executive Producer for both WORD and ESPN Upstate, producer for The Rob Brown Show, and host of the Friday Night Wrap during high school football season. Lonzo played wrestled, ran track, and pole vaulted in high school. He played football in high school and college. Lonzo is a Buckeye, Gamecocks, Chiefs, and Panther fan and loves all sports.
