What a ride so far! When I started out in radio I was a stunt jock for our sister station (and I worked for free)! I CONSTANTLY bugged my boss if there was ever an opening. Finally one day I interviewed to be a producer, and I got the job. I went from morning show producer, to co-hosting afternoons and being the night jock, to the full time jock during afternoons!
People ask me all the time, “Where are you from? I can’t figure out your accent.” Now, this is a tricky question. I was born in South Jersey (Haddon Heights) where my family has a HEAVY Philadelphia accent. When I started 7th grade we moved to a VERY small town in West Virginia (Williamstown) where they have a slow southern accent. Then after high school I moved here to NEPA , where I’m proud to say I have lived the longest out of all states. So you could say my accent is “Jer-ginia Valley”.
I love country music, both old and new. My favorite old timers are Hank, Hank Jr, and Conway Twitty, and favorite new country artists are, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, Jon Pardi and Jason Aldean. I come from a heavy military family, both my grandfathers, brother and his girlfriend all served and is serving in the military. I love our police officers, firefighter and EMT’s. I love being part of the community, and I love our fan base! Do me a favor, if you see me out and about, come say hi, and ask for a picture if you want! Nothing drive me more crazy, than getting a message saying, “I saw you at ___ , but I didn’t want to bother you!”
