Megan Thee Stallion’s Good News arrived today, and Ms. Thee Stallion is not messing around with the truth on her new album. Right off the bat, it seems that the powerful rap goddess addresses Tory Lanez in the first track on the record.
On “Shots Fired” Meg immediately spits “Imagine ****** lyin' 'bout shootin' a real b****.” Instantly the fresh new song goes from an opening track to a high octane, probable, diss track and a moment for Meg to put the truth in the spotlight.
Just as Megan has been in the headlines throughout the year, her new album is already making waves, and of course, providing us with another much-needed respite from doom and gloom.

Good News is exactly what we are searching for these days, and Hot Girl Meg is using rap as a vehicle to underscore the importance of listening to the voices of Black women. As the “Savage” rapper adds in the track, “now here we are, 2020, eight months later And we still ain't got no f****n’ justice for Breonna Taylor”
Megan The Stallion isn’t letting the media, Twitter trolls, or external sources write her story, and “Shots Fired” is just one piece of the Good News puzzle that demonstrates that the rapper is in the driver’s seat of her own narrative.
The artist who was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2020 has had the ability to use her story to extend morale to Black women everywhere. During her interview with GQ Meg shared, “I want Black women to be louder. I want us to be sassier. I want us to demand more, be more outspoken, keep speaking, and just keep demanding what you deserve. Don't change – just get better. Grow from these situations. Don't be beating yourself up about these situations, because that'd be a lot of problems too."
