RADIO.COM's I’m Listening broadcast is returning on Wednesday, September 23. During the special two hour event, we’ll once again join forces with artists, athletes, and individuals nationwide to showcase that talk has the power to save lives.

We believe that by sharing stories, and having healthy conversations around the topic of mental health, it only gets us closer to our goal. For the subject and those who struggle with mental health issues to receive nothing but acceptance and understanding. You are not alone, and the I’m Listening initiative was created to assure you that it’s okay not to be okay.

Leading up to this years broadcast, we’ve taken a look back at some our past I'm Listening shows to share some of our favorite interviews throughout the next week.

Being in spotlight hasn’t stopped these artists from speaking up, instead they’re using their platform to have open and honest conversations. Halsey, whose always been vocal about her own struggles with mental health, previously chatted with RADIO.COM and shared some wise words and advise about her own struggles and experiences with mental health, and how she has and continues to cope during those darker times.

“One of the things that I like to remind myself is that… your experiences with mental health are a journey not a destination. I used to think that one day I was gonna arrive at happy and just stay there,” admitted Halsey. Realizing that “that’s not true,” and that “it’s a constant battle which seems discouraging… but the one thing I like to always remind myself is that your struggle will never get better, it will just always get different and you will get more equipped to handling it.”

Now more than ever it is important for us to have open and honest conversations about mental health. In advance of the broadcast, we encourage you to share your story about your personal mental health journey, of which we will select a few to be shared as a part of this year's show. In addition, throughout the show, listeners will have a chance to call in and share personal stories, as well as speak to mental health professionals.

More details on this year's I'm Listening broadcast will be revealed on September 9.

Join us on Wednesday, September 23 for I’m Listening - an evening filled with support, compassion, and community - right here and on the RADIO.COM app.
