Leading up to RADIO.COM’s I’m Listening broadcast on Wednesday, September 23, we’re giving you a preview of conversations with artists and professionals on the topic of mental health.

Kicking off at 6PM, the I’m Listening broadcast aims to end the stigma of talking about mental health and ensure that conversations are met with acceptance.

Like everyone, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted Bon Jovi’s 2020 plans. With everything coming to a sudden halt, it gave him the opportunity to reevaluate what was important to him.

“It’s been an interesting time because we all had to stop running on the treadmill. We all had to stop chasing things just for the sake of chasing them,” he told RADIO.COM.

“The pandemic forced us all to reevaluate life and what that meant. There’s a new simplicity and there’s a new complexity.”

Bon Jovi acknowledged that this period has been peaceful for some. At the same time, it’s been incredibly difficult on many. “Others have lost a loved one or lost a job. There’s a lot of turmoil,” he said. “In another way, it’s also helped us to find that after we breathe in and breathe out, everything else is that we’re lucky to have it.

Part of the I’m Listening mission is to highlight the idea that you are not alone when it comes to mental health experiences. As part of that mission, we want to hear from you.
