How much would you pay to experience just one normal, pre-coronavirus day without masks or social distancing?

A survey conducted by OnePoll and commissioned by Capital One asked 2,000 Americans that very question, and found that the average person would pay around $305 for such an experience, reports MSN.

The study found that 25% would not be willing to pay anything to experience it, 20% of participants said they would pay up to $100 for a "pre-COVID" day, 29% would pay between $100 and $500, and 15% would be willing to pay even more.

Respondents also shared that the pre-pandemic activities that they miss the most include dining out at a restaurant (54%), hanging out with friends (44%), going to a movie (41%) and enjoying a “day out” (41%).

This week, the United States surpassed 12 million coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. According to Johns Hopkins University data, cases reached at least 12,019,000 by Saturday afternoon, with the U.S. recording more than 1 million cases in less than a week.

Experts have strongly advised that Americans stay home for the Thanksgiving holiday, with the CDC recommending that families have a virtual celebration to help slow the spread of the disease.

The CDC also suggests “preparing traditional family recipes for family and neighbors, especially those at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19, and delivering them in a way that doesn’t involve contact with others.”
