Emergency workers have removed a man who was on the tracks at BART's Embarcadero station in downtown San Francisco on Thursday afternoon.
The man had been trapped under a train.
Officials said that the man is "alive, but further condition is unknown." Earlier, they called it a "major medical emergency."
The disruption caused delays of at least 20 minutes in all direction, BART said.
BART first alerted riders at 1:13 p.m. that there was a person on the tracks.
