Since moving to San Francisco in 2012, he has quickly made his mark on the culinary scene rising through the ranks at many of the city’s most renowned restaurants. Prior to joining the team to open Commons Club, Chef Adrian worked at Benu and then led the kitchen at Quince Restaurant as Chef De Cuisine – both restaurants earned three Michelin stars and four stars from the San Francisco Chronicle, respectively.
Saddle up to the Commons Club bar prior or post your dinner reservation. Choose from an impressive cocktail menu bursting at the gills with creativity, fun & whimsy. My fave, the PRIDE cocktail - a perfect addition for the month of June and San Francisco Pride.
Wrap up your night at the Virgin Hotel with a trip to the rooftop bar with unparalleled views of the San Francisco skyline and killer cocktails to boot. Heat lamps will shoo away Karl the Fog and keep you warm on those nippy San Francisco summer nights.
Fancy staying the night? The rooms are compact and bijou but have everything you need for a comfy stay from mood lighting, shades that transform a bright room to full blackout. If lucky, you will likely get a room with a view - a million dollar view of our shiny, shimmering, city by the Bay - a world away from the grimy, gritty streets below.
Plus a fully stocked bar with pre-made cocktails. My fave feature in the room... the "YES" button on the phone where all requests are met with a ...."YES!!" I ordered the Full English for breakfast... another lovely twist the beans and runny egg centered in stacked brioche toast. It came warm within 20 minutes of ordering to my room with a perfect pot of English tea to wash it all down. Full marks Virgin - got this one spot on!!
So do yourself a favor and treat yourself and the one you love to dinner and an overnight stay at the new kid on the block, Virgin Hotel San Francisco - you’ll be bloody happy you did.
Enjoy my chinwag with Chef Adrian Garcia taped recently at the rooftop bar at Virgin Hotel San Francisco.
