It’s that time of year again: Christmas lights are going up around the Bay Area.
Some even looked like giant coronavirus molecules.

On Fourth St. in Berkeley, some people come just for the lights. One passerby said of the ambiance: "I like the lights, and the music combined with all the colors."

Another admirer of the display: "We actually came here specifically because this is the place I thought of for Christmas lights." A little further towards the hills, on Monterrey and Hopkins, residential lights draw onlookers as well.

A few miles away on the Arlington, people stop their cars to peek out at brightly lit front yards.
