Mountain lion spotted in Benicia neighborhood

There might be a mountain lion roaming Benicia.

Benicia Police said Monday they’ve received multiple reports of the lion in the open space area behind Duvall and Durham Ct. It's not clear when the animal was seen or how many people filed reports.

"The mountain lion has not been aggressive toward humans or animals," police tweeted. "However, please be mindful when walking in the area. Stay away from the mountain lion if seen and keep your dogs on leashes."
