Union Square Macy's to still have adoptable animals in their windows for 2020, but virtually

A holiday tradition is staying alive in 2020 as the Union Square Macy's in San Francisco will have their usual adoptable pets in their windows.

However, this year will feature screens showing of adoptable animals as opposed to them actually being right there in front of you.

Inside the store you'll be able to take photos with giant cat and dog cutouts.

The SPCA credits the annual program to the adoption of 10,000 animals over the years and this year you'll be able to fill out an application online to inquire about adopting one.

The animals will appear in the store windows from November 24 to January 3.
