You can have medications, prescriptions delivered by Amazon with new online pharmacy

Add products from an online pharmacy to your Amazon purchases.

You can now order and buy inhalers, medication and prescription drug refills online - the Seattle-based behemoth company launched an online pharmacy today.

You get your products in a couple of days.

There's also an incentive for Amazon Prime members.

According to CBS News, "Amazon is also teaming with Cigna's Evernorth subsidiary to offer its InsideRx card to provide discounts on brand-name prescription drugs when buying them without insurance at Amazon Pharmacy and some 50,000 participating drugstores."

“The news represents a disruption to the system and competitive threat that will likely shift scripts away from the retail channel,” analysts at Citi Research said in a note as reported in an Associated Press story.

Amazon already offers all types of products, including groceries, on its online platform. The company bought Whole Foods three years ago and formed in 1995 originally as an online book store.
