The Cinemark movie theater at the Pittsburgh Mills mall is closing permanently.

In a statement to KDKA Radio,Caitlin Piper, with Cinemark Public Relations, said, "Cinemark 18 theatre at Pittsburgh Mills Mall in Tarentum, PA, is permanently closing as it is near the conclusion of its lease term. This closure is normal course of business and the result of the careful and ongoing review of our theatre fleet."

The theater, along with all other Cinemark locations across the country had been closed since mid-March when the company made the decision to close due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In Pennsylvania, all indoor theaters remain closed as part of the state's efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus.
