Construction Projects To Slow Down Travel In Pittsburgh This Weekend

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Friday night at 8 p.m. the eastbound lane of P.J. McArdle Roadway will close between the Liberty Bridge and Arlington Avenue for installation of a water vault check valve. 

 A detour will be posted, the eastbound section of the roadway as well as both lanes between the Liberty Bridge and Grandview Avenue on Mt. Washington will remain open. 

The work is set to be completed and the lane reopened by 8 p.m. Saturday.

At 10 p.m. crews will close all lanes of the upper deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge between Downtown and the North Shore for overhead sign replacement. 

In addition, the ramps from the 10th Street Bypass, Fort Duquesne Blvd and the Fort Pitt Bridge will shut down. 

A detour will be posted and work is scheduled to wrap up by 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
