PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - TSA agents found a loaded 9mm handgun within a passenger’s carry-on bag at the Pittsburgh International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
The agents working the main security checkpoint discovered the gun and alerted the Allegheny County Police.
The police were able to confirm the 46-year-old man had a valid concealed carry permit.
And the man says that the guy was left in the bag inadvertently.
Although the Federal Bureau of Investigation was contacted, the man was able to fly.
There are no pending charges and none are expected.
The firearm is currently in possession of the County Police.
