PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - JCPenney at Century III Mall in West Mifflin has been added to the list of locations closing nationwide.
The retail store is the last remaining open business at the mall.
The rest of the mall was closed last year.
JCPenney is also shuttering stores at Pittsburgh Mills in Frazier and Clearview Mall near Butler.
In a release, the retailer explained why they are closing locations across the country.
“Following a comprehensive review of our retail footprint, JCPenney made the difficult decision to announce 151 store closures. We will continue to operate the majority of our stores and our flagship store, jcp.com, to ensure our valued customers continue to have access to the products and brands they need and want.”
JCPenney locations remain open at The Mall at Robinson, Ross Park Mall, Monroeville Mall and Beaver Valley Mall.
