HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) –Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Control Enforcement Officers issued one notice and four warnings to Pittsburgh-area establishments during their September 11th through 13th COVID-19 compliance checks.
In the Pittsburgh area, 290 licensee checks were performed over the weekend.
The compliance checks are to ensure businesses are abiding by the COVID-19 mitigation requirements that include social distancing, masking, and other requirements of the liquor code.
Compliance checks are unannounced and can happen anywhere across the state, with a focus on areas with higher COVID-19 transmission rates.
Violators may face administrative citations by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, and continued violations could put the business’ liquor license at risk.
