Police Investigating Lawrenceville War Memorial Vandalized Overnight

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police are investigating a vandalism that occurred at the WWI War Memorial at Doughboy Square.

Police responded to the report before 8:00 a.m. on Monday at the junction of Butler Street and Penn Avenue.

The memorial was splashed with red paint and scrawled with indeterminate messages.

Police are reviewing video footage, and the investigation is ongoing.
