PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Penguins star Kris Letang took time Tuesday to visit the patients at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

The defenseman has been working with the rest of the team getting ready for Thursday’s opener at home against Buffalo, but he always has time children.

Letang joined the kids for a “game day afternoon”.

They played bean bag toss, Connect 4, tabletop hockey and more!

A spokesperson for UPMC says that “everyone had a blast!”

Earlier this year Letang wrote a $58,000 check to help the family of a seven-year-old who was diagnosed with leukemia.
