PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and Eat’n Park are working in conjunction with the City of Police to host a lunch distribution event on Friday, May 29.

Now Pittsburgh Pirate bench coach Don Kelly is joining their ranks.

Kelly will join Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert at the Paulsen Recreation Center to help hand out boxed lunches to children.

The meals will be provided by Eat’n Park.

The event is just one in a line of Pittsburgh Citipark Grab-and-Go programs that hands out free lunches to children at four different locations throughout the week.

Not only will lunches be given out, but the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police will also be distributing special baseball cards as part of the 2020 Pirates Charities Pittsburgh Police Baseball Card Program.

It doesn’t stop there, though.

The Pittsburgh Police will also be exercising their “Need a Mask, Take a Mask” initiative.

The program allows people without masks to receive one free of charge.

The Grab-and-Go event will take place on Friday, May 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be located at 1201 Paulson Avenue.
