PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) 23,000 students are starting school online, but soon, many will be riding busses and vans to Pittsburgh Public Schools.
The Pupil Transportation Department of Pittsburgh Public Schools (PTDPPS) is focused on the health and safety of the district's students and drivers.
The PTDPPS have plans in place to do their job in these times of Coronavirus: Wearing masks, assigned seating, and one-per-seat rules in buses and vans.
In order to plan for the wave of students they will be bringing to and from school, the department is asking Pittsburgh families to complete a School Transportation for Fall 2020 Survey.
In a press release, Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Anthony Hamlet said in part, "ensuring health and safety are at the forefront of all decision making."
The surveys are available online now through the links provided below.
