
HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is expected to reveal this afternoon which counties will move from the red to yellow and yellow to green under the pandemic recovery plan.
Sources say that no counties in the Southwestern PA region will move into the green phase.
Allegheny County has reported three deaths this week.
Gov. Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levin will hold a briefing at 4 p.m.
Allegheny County along with a majority of Southwestern PA moved into the yellow phase last Friday, with the exception of Beaver County.
Beaver moved into the yellow phase today, May 22.
Wolf wasn’t specific which counties will moving into the yellow have but said it will be “a whole range of counties.”It is also unknown what areas, if any will move into the green phase.
In the green phase, hair salons, barbershops, dine-in restaurants, gyms and other businesses can reopen
Pennsylvania is using modeling from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as other models to make decisions on what stage a county moves into.
