Getting a table at a downtown restaurant will soon get a little easier.
The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is working with the city to section off parts of four streets for tables and chairs, with protective barriers in place. Up to 72 restaurants are expected to serve patrons.
The PDP plans to add public art and live music. The seating will be available in early July on parts of 6th Street, from Liberty to Ft. Duquesne Boulevard, Penn Avenue from 9th to 10th, Strawberry Way between Smithfield and Grant, and in Market Square.
The outdoor seating could last to mid October.
