Two Pittsburgh-Area Towns Are Ranked Safest In PA

(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - What do Penn Township in Westmoreland County and South Park in Allegheny County have in common?

 They are first and second on the list of the safest communities in the state.

The National Council for Home Security and Safety rankings use data from law enforcement and the FBI.

Franklin Park ranks 8th, Cecil ranks 10th, Adams Township in Butler County is 11th, West Deer Township is 17th and Hampton Township is 20th.

Additionally, West Mifflin, Murrysville, Upper St. Clair, McCandless, Baldwin Township, Elizabeth Township and Jefferson Hills Borough all rank in the top 50.
