Even though the storm and it's remnants didn't directly affect Western PA, AAA says gas prices in the region are up since the storm hit the U.S. last Thursday.
Prior to the storm hitting the U.S., the average price for a gallon of gas was $2.47.
This week, that price jumped to $2.58 - up 11 cents. That's still down from this time last year when gas prices were at $2.75 a gallon.
Nationally, the average price sits at $2.23 following Laura. An increase of five cents from the previous week.
That price too is down from a year ago - by 35 cents.
