PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Later this week, people in Southwestern PA will find out if Governor Tom Wolf will move the region from the yellow phase to green in the state’s pandemic reopening plan.

If it happens, what will it mean?

Green may mean go, but there will still be some coronavirus restrictions.

Employees will still be encouraged to tele-work and masks will still be recommended.

But restaurants and bars can reopen at 50 percent occupancy, same for salons and barbershops with customer appointments.

Gyms, casinos, theaters and malls can all reopen at 50 percent capacity.

Two weeks of successful risk mitigation in Southwestern Pennsylvania could mean an announcement into the green phase comes this Friday with June 5 the first day with loosened restrictions.
