Wendy Bell: We've Been Beaten Up and Badgered Enough

Enough. I’ve simply had a-freaking-nuff. We’ve been beaten up and badgered ENOUGH. And much of America is weary.

I think there are a lot of people, not just here in the United States - but I think just everywhere - who wake up angry. Looking for a reason to validate whatever they feel victimizes them.

It's exhausting. I feel for you if you're in that boat. You wake up and you're mad at the world and you demand that everybody understands exactly your perspective. It's exhausting. I'm tired just thinking about it.

Aren't you so tired of being our collective consciousness that's seeped into everything we do?

You're told you need to check you privilege. You're told you need to apologize and bow down and say you're sorry for things that you don't even do.

But it doesn't matter - you look a certain way, it's your fault. Just do it.

I'm sorry, I'm not down with that.

I am not down with that. I have had enough of where we are collectively and I know I'm not alone.

This national discourse that's allegedly about race, and is not about race, is exhausting.

It has infiltrated every crevice, every cranny of our lives and I'm personally now saying - enough. Enough.
