Allegheny County Police make 2 arrests in 2019 Wilkinsburg homicide

WILKINSBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) — On Oct. 20, 2019, the Wilkinsburg Police and Paramedics initially reported to the 500 block of Jeanette Street for three people who had been shot.

At the scene, the police discovered the deceased 22-year-old Mager Rainey and two female victims that had suffered nonlethal gunshot wounds.

After an investigation, police determined that 24-year-old Herbert Lee Walker III and 25-year-old Kenya Harper were responsible for the shooting.

Walker has been charged with Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Attempt Homicide, and Criminal Conspiracy.

As for Harper, she has been charged with Criminal Homicide and Criminal Conspiracy.

Both are currently in custody at the Allegheny County Jail.

Another arrest warrant has been issued, however.

The warrant is for 22-year-old Jeremiah Ligon, and he is wanted on counts of Criminal Homicide and Criminal Conspiracy.

Ligon is believed to be somewhere around the Penn Hills or Wilkinsburg regions.

The conclusion of the investigation came after joint efforts between the Allegheny County Police, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Wilkinsburg Police, and the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
